Within the context of the EU FP7 funded ‘TRANSMIC’ project, CEPS and Maastricht University are organising a close-door Policy Roundtable on ‘Funding the EU external policies on migration: Questions of coherence and accountability’. The event is by invitation-only.
The Roundtable will feature speakers from the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Court of Auditors, NGOs and international organisations. The presentations will take stock of the developments in the EU external funding for migration, covering issues such as the funding for Mobility Partnerships and the EU Trust Fund for Africa. The focus will be on the coherence between the different funding instruments and policy frameworks, as well as on the ways to safeguard financial accountability
