TRANSMIC workshop ‘External Dimension of EU Social Security Coordination’ held in Brussels

The TRANSMIC fellows Zvezda Vankova and Pauline Melin, PhD candidates at the Maastricht University Faculty of Law, organised a Workshop entitled  “External Dimension of EU Social Security Coordination”, which  took place at the UM Campus Brussels on 16th of February 2017. The participants discussed the current state of affairs and the future prospects of the External Dimension of EU Social Security Coordination focusing on the common EU and national Member States approaches to social security coordination with selected third countries. Among the attendees were senior academics, professionals and TRANSMIC PhD students from Maastricht University, University of Antwerp, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Université de Liège, Universiteit Gent, University of Ljubljana, University of Groningen, Utrecht University, European Commission, the Netherlands Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agoria, Christelijke Mutualiteit, VBNGB, Centre for European Policy Studies, European Parliament Research Service, Radboud University Centre for Migration Law, Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection, Austria, Sociale Verzekeringsbank, and Greens/EFA.
